After a year of touring to promote my newest best-selling book, I’ve decided to give myself a rest for a month. Years back, I had stumbled across a little Hawaiian paradise, Kona Island. I rented a beach house here, and am enjoying my stay immensely.
The white sands and clear turquoise waters still seem surreal. On such a gorgeous morning, I’ve taken advantage of the hammock in my yard, as well as a cup of the Kona Island Blend. I just couldn’t resist bringing this coffee all the way from Idaho to taste it on the real Kona beach.
Just like waking up to the sound of waves, it’s almost unbelievably smooth. I had to have a second cup to make sure that it’s the real thing. Its no wonder—with coffee from Kona, as well as some from Panama, I can see why it captures that laid-back island life-style.
Whether I’ll be waking up at home in the city, on a camping trip, or a cruise, I know I can always get that Kona Island feeling with a cup of this coffee. It brings me right back to the beach, and to the perfection of such a beautiful morning. And to think this coffee was roasted in Boise, Idaho.
